F act: Placing your pop tin in the proper recycling bin or putting your food scraps into your green compost bin really does make a difference!
If everyone believed that their daily environmental actions really didn’t mean squat in the big picture, then we would never get anywhere in our quest of making our world a better place. All of our environmental ‘good intentions’ wouldn’t mean anything because we would not accomplish any of our goals.
The key is to look at the small picture first, in that everyone has to be responsible and do their part to help battle our global environmental issues, as this is the only way in which we will make progress…UNITED!
In your home you can implement minor adjustments, that will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions world-wide, along with saving you money. Here are a few simple steps to get you headed in the correct direction!
* BE SMART WITH HEATING AND COOLING
Think about how you can save with heating and cooling your home by using a little common sense. Change your air filters regularly and have your system tuned by a professional regularly as you and your grip wrench just doesn’t cut it!
* MAKE YOUR HOME SNUG
Sealing and insulating your home properly will save you loads of money. By helping your home run more efficiently you will be saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions simultaneously!
* THE THREE R’S!
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, need I say more!
* GREEN POWER IMPLEMENTATION
This environmentally friendly electricity generated from renewable source energy is a great thing to do! You can either modify your house for green power or you can buy it. Either way you will lower your greenhouse gas emissions and increase the green energy supply to start. All good in my books!
* CAREFUL WATER USAGE
Bottom line is don’t waste water! Don’t leave the tap running when brushing your teeth or take twenty-five minute showers. Make sure your toilets are running tip top and search for products with an EPA’s Watersense Label.
* BE VOCAL
Let others know what you are doing and encourage your friends and family to do the same. If we all do our part we really can make a difference.
Don’t look the other way when you hear the ‘Environment’ word. Be responsible, lead by example and take a stand. Make environmentally ‘smart’ decisions and encourage others to follow suit. Together we WILL make a difference, believe it!

Great information – such easy things to do that could make a big difference if only more people would do them!
