Do You Even Give a Crap?

Do You Even Give a Crap?

I t’s so easy just to look the other way isn’t it? To not bother sorting out every piece of freaking garbage or not put your dinner waste into the special green bin. It really is a pain in the butt keeping these containers clean and in a convenient place in your house so that your not running a marathon every time you’ve got to throw something out! But you need to tell yourself it’s worth it!

For the kids it can get quite confusing. Was it plastic with glass or cardboard with plastic? So where do the egg cartons go and plastic cookie tins? Bottom line is nothing worthwhile comes easy.

You need to flip your mindset around from all the negative nuisances that caring for the environment brings and look at the ‘big picture.’ Look at everything you ARE doing to help the environment. The big stuff really doesn’t matter so much in my opinion, it’s the smaller stuff that really counts. Every single ‘little’ change you make to help the environment, makes a huge impact on the direction the world is headed.

Believing this will make it worthwhile and with a little patience, you will begin to see a difference. Even if it’s just knowing that you are doing what you can to help because that makes you a better you!

Lead by example and show your children that it’s important to care about the place we live in and no matter what, always try and do the right thing. Don’t toss your pop can out the car window just because it’s convenient. Keep a little trash bag in your car and empty it properly at the gas station or when you get home. Get into the routine and you’ll find it really isn’t that hard.

That’s the key. Finding new habits that are beneficial to the environment and continuously adding to them. If everybody does this we will soon ‘see’ the difference it makes and feel good knowing we are a part of it.

Make the right decision and do your part today. Honest, the world WILL thank you for it!
